In addition to being a motivated student at Columbia College Chicago, she was also the deputy editor of the award-winning Columbia Chronicle. Emma has professional experience in writing, photography and editing.

Originally from Joliet, Illinois, Emma grew up reading books, creating art and spending time outside in the sun. Emma’s passion for writing and photography comes from her ever-present curiosity about the world around her. Since moving to Chicago, that inquisitive mindset has only deepened, pushing Emma to continue exploring the world as a journalist. She aims to keep humanity at the heart of each project.
