The morning sun shines on the Chicago Park District’s Athletic Field Ceramics Building in Irving Park on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2025. This studio is home to a course for Deaf, hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired individuals to practice ceramics in a professionally equipped space.
Four participants and four instructors occupy the studio while completing various tasks on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2025. Though eight people are enrolled in the course this semester, usually about half show up each week from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to continue working on their projects.
